Blended First Aid Training

3D HEALTH & SAFETY offers an ASHI/HSI Blended First Aid training certification course that combines the convenience of online learning with face-to-face, in-class skill practice and evaluation by an authorized instructor.  The easy-to use web-based learning system in a Blended Class allows for a variety of sensory interactions to provide users with a low-stress, easy-to-use, and convenient way to learn the required information.

The training is an excellent choice for both community and workplace settings and is designed specifically for laypeople to help develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.  This extremely flexible program will help prepare individuals to respond to basic first aid situations,  as well as injury, medical, and environmental emergencies.  This First Aid course conforms to the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.

The blended training covers essential cognitive content for the class using program video segments and interactive exercises.  Each participant has their own personalized online training portal with 24-hour access to the information.  Participants are able to start and stop at any point in the online training and choose a pace that best fits their learning style.  Included for each participant is a digital handbook and ASHI Passport--a mobile app with immediate access to emergency topics, and LearningLinks, quarterly interactive online refresher courses.  A Recognition of Completion certificate will be made available to every participant upon successfully completing the online course.  This certificate isrequired to attend the face-to-face portion of the class.

The face-to-face portion of a blended class focuses on the development of competent skills through hands-on practice.  Participants will take part in a live skills instruction session that will personalize learning, allow for thoughtful reflection, and the differentiation of instruction for every kind of learner.  The skills session, designed by a professional educator, includes interactive activities to maximize retention of the most important CPR/AED skills.  Participants move through stations practicing each lifesaving skill with a partner and are monitored by a certified instructor.   This team approach makes the training collaborative and engaging

Upon completion of both the online and in-person skills sessions, a two-year ASHI/HSI certification card is provided.

*ASHI/HSI training programs are recognized, accepted and approved by, or meet the requirements of, nearly 4,500 state regulatory agencies, occupational licensing boards, national associations, commissions and councils in more than 120 occupations and professions.
